I wanted to have my Beatles, Thelonious Monk and Coltrane playing with the best possible sound, so I kept them on .wav. The short answer is "yes", the IPod Touch DOES support .wav files. Longer answer: You'll have some leg work to do. When I loaded my .wav files to the IPod Touch, none of the song, album or artist information loaded with it, so I had to go into the actual .wav files on the IPod Touch (via ITunes) and manually type them in (right-click on the song title, then choose "Song Info"). Of course, this may be because these were all vinyl recordings, but I wanted to give you a heads-up.
