Hey there! I’m not sure about receiving a discount but I’m a college student and I recently purchased mine and I absolutely love it! It’s a bit spendy but I’m on my laptop a LOT and for me it was worth it. I haven’t had any problems with lagging or anything like that this far and really like how it feels to type on the keyboard. It’s also a nice feature that there’s Touch ID and the keys on the keyboard light up so typing at night or when it’s dark is way easier!

You can receive a student discount by going to the Apple Education Store. It gives you $100 off, not including shipping, mine for example is going to be about $66 for shipping, so even though you don't save a ton (depending on where you live) it's better than nothing. I think all you need to "show" that you're a student is your .edu email that is associated with your college. Hope this helps
