This is not true. I have a brand new MacBook Pro and it does NOT have Word already loaded on it. Mine is a 2019 16", I'm not sure why I keep seeing false answers on here; please read several responses to the questions, as the first answers are often incorrect.
Word is made by Microsoft and you would have to get the Office 365 Bundle from Best Buy which would contain Word, Excel, and Power Point. You cannot just buy Word and you have to buy a new one every year. I have years of documents in Word format saved in my memory on my 2010 iMac. Some documents go back to earlier iMacs I have had. I think I am stuck with having to get a new Word every year if I want to open or edit my old documents. I might be able to read them without the update but I think not. Apple’s version is called Page. If you want to write something that you might self-publish then use this. I do not know whether you can convert a Word file to Page, but I really d
