• the first picture you included is the latest model, it was released this july. the second picture is last year’s model released back in november i believe. both have similar specs, and an almost identical appearance. i bought the 2018 macbook air last month and so far really like it. i got it for $900 here on best buy but a day later it was $850 and sold out. best buy seems to change their sales a lot, so you might be able to get it a little cheaper. i hope i could answer your question!
