Super super smooth! But Adobe premier for Apple Silicon sometimes crashes, it's a software glitch on Adobe's end not apples.

I have used the M2 16gb/512 MacBook Air for editing 4k and 1080p projects using Final Cut Pro and it works perfectly. 16 GB will give you more years and options with it. I have not used Adobe specifically but you will find this to be a very capable machine.
