• A:Answer You can not upgrade the RAM on this one, but it may be possible to update the SSD. Normally you would order the way you want it. It is extremely difficult to replace any part of this machine. Get it the way you want it configured from the factory or add an external drive. • A:Answer The student offers change from month to month. Usually you will see an icon that says student deal on the listing page if eligible. I was able to get $125 off in August. I don't see any students deals this period as of 9/3 to 10/7, looks like its only on some select surface devices.

You may have to purchase the AppleCare to get the discount, but that is a good thing because it gives you three years of warranty and all the help you need to work with you with any issue. Even if you drop your computer or spill Coke on it that's covered!
