if you hold down on a key it will show you the options to change the lettering and add accent marks. for instance n-ñ-ń or a-à-á-â-ä-æ and e-è-é-ê-ë, so on and so forth, it is not like a Microsoft computer keyboard where it continues to fill the page with the letter being pressed.
