• I've been using Macs since 1985, and I've only once installed antivirus software— that was last year when I got a package from Best Buy. Just my opinion, but *don't bother* to install it. Configure the built-in firewall software to block most all incoming ports. As long as you're not downloading questionable software or fonts, you will be fine. I've NEVER had a single virus in 25+ years of Mac use. It CAN happen, but you'd have to be really careless or foolish to make it happen.
