You can probably get along with the free Microsoft account option, but the paid version is not included with this purchase. Although most Windows laptops come with that included, MacBook Pros do not. After several phone catlls to the company was told that I needed to wait for my card to come in the mail. After I received my card I went online to activate it and was denied with a error message and phone number to contact. Contacted number and no resolution whatsoever handed off from one person to another. The most absolute waste of my time my energy and horrible horrible customer service nothing resolved ! To date
