A:Answer The exterior seems like the same rubberized material used in the smart covers, so remains to be seen how well it will hold up over time. The keys are a hard plastic—basically similar to a regular computer keyboard (the backlighting is nice). As for the overall rigidity of the keyboard—excellent. It does not bend or flex, and with the iPad in it and closed, feels like a laptop. Open, it feels like a laptop, but top heavy. Overall, very happy with the build quality and glad I bought it as I had been using an external bluetooth keyboard which was problematic for me.
