Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m not familiar with the otter, but I assume it’s a protective case. If the otter is not too thick the magnets in the magic keyboard can still grip the iPad, however, the surface connection between the back of the iPad may not be able to contact the mating connector on the magic keyboard. They have to physically contact each other in order to connect. I hope this helps. J.J.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think you can as it attaches to the Magic Keyboard by magnets. Even if the hold was strong enough with the otter box case on you would never get the magic keyboard to close properly

Please try again later.Unfortunately no you would not able to put any protector case over the iPad because I notice the connecting prongs are very sensitive, I had a 1mm skin decal on the back of my iPad with the holes for the connection and it will not detect it and finally had to remove the skin to get it working again.
