No; this is only for connecting a newer Mac with a MagSafe2 port to an older power brick (with a MagSafe tip). Do note that the latest MacBooks/Pros use a USBC power port so this adapter will not work for you in this case. The MacBook Air is still (as I write this) using a MagSafe2 power port.
