• I was unhappy to find out the new iPad Pro only works with the 2nd generation Apple Pencil. It (The iPad) has USB C so it will not charge or even recognize a first generation Apple Pencil. I bought the 2nd generation and was happy that at least it wirelessly charges when attached to the iPad so there is that.

• No.there is no converter adaptor.you need the pencil that’s comparable with your iPad.
