No. The 2nd Generation Apple Pencil will ONLY work with the newest 11" and 12.9" iPad Pros.

This pencil only works on the new iPad Pro models due to the way it has to connect to the iPad. It charges and connects via a magnet that’s built in to the new iPad pros only.
