Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're referring to the latest model 12.9" iPad Pro, then it charges wirelessly when it's magnetically attached to the side of the iPad. That's also what pairs the pencil to the iPad. It's super convenient and works really well. I've not had any problems with mine not charging yet.

It’s easy and stays on securely while it charges. It charges while the iPad is turned on. The iPad screen will show that the Pencil is attached and will display the percentage of charge as well.
