I have 12.9 2nd gen model (A1671)

Hi PAWOODCHUCK! The compatibility depends on the size of your device. If you own the IPad Pro 9.7-inch, or 10.5-inch, The 1st Generation Apple Pencil is compatible. If you own the IPad Pro 11-inch and up, the USB-C and 2nd generation Apple Pencil is compatible. To check your device size and type, go to Settings > General > About. Your Model name should display your IPad type and size. Have a great day!

Mainly used for drawing. I thought it would work with all apps but unfortunately it doesn’t.

for all ipad pro 11 in. it will work
