Believe as long as you have the magnetic piece on the side you can. The pencil is wireless charging so you’ll need it to magnetically connect to the iPad to charge.

It is compatible with the 3rd and 4th gen iPad Pro 12.9 inch and 1st and 2nd gen 11 inch iPad Pro.
