“I have a Dell D6000 universal dock. It has a USB-A and USB-C connector (male). I have an older Macbook Air (2015) that has USB-A port (female) and a Thunderbolt 2 port (female). I would like to to plugin the USB-C from dock to my Mac. Will this work?”

• It seems like it would be possible. You’ll need a thunderbolt 2 cable to attach to adapter to your MacBook air.

• this depends on the power that the device requires, i have found that when the thunderbolt 2 (mac) is used with a USB-c (Thunderbolt 3) device the adapter will not work with some devices which I use for video streaming. These devices require the native ports, for example the device in the picture will not work with an adapter
