I believe it will. I have used it to connect a thunderbolt HDD and thunderbolt to FireWire music interface. It works seamlessly in both cases.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this adapter at work to hook up older Thunderbolt displays to newer Macbooks and can verify that it does transfer audio, data, and Ethernet. The older monitor works exactly the same as it did with the older Macbook.
