Can I mount unit to the backside on tv so no cables show and will unit still rec'd a good signal ?? Or does it need to be out in the open area?? Thanksf or your time. Jim null

You probably can but I wouldn’t if the tv is mounted on the wall.

Mine receives signal from quite a distance. It should work behind the TV as mine work even from the side from our dinning area.

Yes , You can mount it behind the TV, you can use Velcro or a AppleTV mount from amazon to mount behind TV , I put it about a inch below TV line so you can see it. and the remote works perfectly.
