Apple Ecosystem
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to Apple 4K TV from the Roku, which I liked a lot. The Apple TV is a great streaming device. It is a little pricey, but it’s worth it. If you’re already invested in the Apple ecosystem, like me and have purchased Apps, Games, Movies and Shows through your iPhone then this is the device for you. Everything you have will be available and ready to use. The setup is easy and fast. The remote is nice and so is the functionality. I recommed the Apple TV to everyone, especially if you’re all in with Apple products.

Best Streamer out there!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third iteration of Apple TV. I started with Apple TVHD in 2017. Each iteration gets better and better; this one does not break the trend. Not trying the other steamers, I liked Apple TV Streaming Box based on reported specifications, which always proved true for me personally. When shopping, I always look at the spec sheets first. The 2021 Apple TV did not come neither too soon nor too late. I was losing my mind trying to figure out how to stream music as Hi-Resolution, having resigned myself to accept what was available for movies and tv. Thus, considering the popular music streamers, I didn’t like any of them, although some of the audiophile reports sounded really good, especially concerning one or two of them. The common thread with the popular music streamers was the need for an external DAC for even decent 48 kHz sound reproduction. Apple’s announcement of Apple Lossless streaming was a pleasant surprise to most of us that like both High Definition/HDR video and Hi-Resolution music. From the first day, Apple promises lossless music streaming up to 48 kHz, on Apple TV4K. However, with an external DAC, they promise hi-res streaming up to 192 kHz! Finally, I can consider a way to have up to 24-bit hi-res streaming of the thousands of lossless songs I scanned from CDs. And, the sky is the limit to where Apple will go with hi-res music in the future. Of all the streamers in the business, I trust Apple to provide the highest quality and best service. Apple TV4K (2021) has a chip that beats the chip in Apple TV4K (2017) based on the “newer” A12 Bionic SoC and the dedicated, new in 2021 for ATV, A.I. neural-engine hardware. The GPU in the 2017 Apple TV was faster, but that speed has nothing on the speed of the A12 Bionic + the machine learning of the neural engine in the 2021 Apple TV going forward. Within 30-hours of installing my ATV4K (2nd Gen), I was already seeing and hearing rather significant improvement in both video and audio processing, such that I feel that I “finally” had Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos from my HDTV and AVR system. It’s just terrible the difference between the before (2017 ATV) and after (2021 ATV), speaking ironically. All of a sudden, about 75% more programs show as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, when before, the experience was not nearly as profound as it is with the 2nd generation ATV. I could hardly find Dolby Vision anymore, especially combined with Dolby Atmos. Now, Dolby Vision and Atmos are exceptional wherever they are supported, and extraordinary together. Amazon does not support Dolby Vision or Atmos; they just call it UHD and HDR and 5.1, but their HDR (HDR10) is a very good substitute for LG televisions that do not support HDR10+. Besides the “smarter” chip and neural engine, the HDMI 2.1 specification makes this new tv a very serious contender in the streaming wars. This device is “future-proofed” up through 10K/120 Hz. To my understanding, consumer video won’t ever need to go higher than 8K/120 Hz. The resolutions and frame rates higher than that are for commercial applications such as the medical industry, airlines industry, education industry, etc. However, it is currently unknown what the gaming industry can do/or plans to do with 10K/120 Hz. LOL! Very exciting future here. The attached screen shots show where Apple is at now for 4K HDR deliverance!!! More please! I sometimes hate to leave home, because of my constantly improving home-theater system!

Apple TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This connects seamlessly to all my Apple devices. Recognizes my AirPods or direct to connect to any Bluetooth headphones for times when you are trying to not to interrupt people around you. The new remote is much easier to use than prior generations and less sensitive to rolling on it

Simple and efficient. Very responsive.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are so happy we made the decision to purchase Apple TV 4K because cutting cable with service provider is not an easy decision for us. The Apple TV 4K made all the difference and made our decision worth it because it is so easy to use, very responsive and worked seamlessly with all our other Apple devices. It is definitely a much better option compared to other streaming device we’ve tried because of ease of use, the quality and it has the Apple signature look that feels premium yet very user friendly. It’s probably the most responsive remote that we had and the Siri capability works way a lot better compared to other voice assistant. I highly recommend Apple TV 4K if you’re just new to cutting the cord and wanted a simplistic approach to navigating the streaming TV.

Great Streaming Box for Apple Eco System
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Apple TV as I already own the first gen Apple TV 4k, so this latest model is just an incremental upgrade as I wanted another one for my main TV. The biggest difference between the two is mainly the remote. If you have a previous version of the 4k it's probably not worth the upgrade unless you want to future proof your setup a little. This latest model also does support thread networking with Homekit so that's a plus if you're using Homekit and looking to add thread devices to your home. Overall I just like the Apple interface and since I use Homekit (and am for the most part in the Apple eco system) I love the Apple TV experience. If you're not in the Apple eco system or don't really want to be you can go with something less expensive.

Well, worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this at the end of the year. Best Buy had a clearance sale going on. And upon plugging it into my 4K TV... I recognized the difference immediately. Because I came from the non-4K version of the Apple TV... the 2015 model. I had my eye on purchasing a 4K Apple TV... but was waiting for a good deal on one. So, I moved the non-4K version into a different room. I don't really need to go into detail... you know what you getting when you get a Apple product, something that's made with detail and quality.

Best Apple TV and Remote so far!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new Apple TV is fast and the new remote controller is beyond awesome! It’s night and day better than the old remote! I never accidentally push the wrong selection any longer! Besides that not much has changed but I must say using Airplay is much faster to connect! So overall I know it’s a incremental update but the new Apple TV processor and remote make the difference plus now it’s a 64gb storage instead of 32gb on my old one!

Q: QuestionThe description of the item states 2nd Generation AppleTV 4K.... isn't this box at least 6th Generation... it now has WiFi6 capabilities.
Asked by tron49.
- A:Answer It actually is the 2nd generation 4k Apple TV. The first generation 4k was released in 2017. So it may be the sixth generation of Apple TV, but is only the second generation of a 4k variant. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionWHAT EXACTLY DOES APPLE TV DO ? DOES IT REPLACE MY DISH FEED ? DOES IT NEED TO BE WIRED?
Asked by DAYTRADERWANNABE.
- A:Answer You could “cut your cable” (or satellite) and receive content via streaming to your TV. Cable or satellite not required to watch programming on the device. But understand streaming content is not the same as receiving live channels from cable or satellite. But much of that content, such as HBO, etc, is available without cable of satellite. It works with WiFi as its input for content (also accepts Ethernet input). It requires its output to connect to your TV via HDMI Cable. You must have internet service to stream the content.

Q: QuestionWill this product pair with a Samsung tv production date 2005?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer All televisions, even older models, can be use with Apple TV but the only thing that you will not be able to see is everything that is 4k do the resolution goes low to 720! You need a 4K television and a good 4K Cable to watch everything perfect with the new Apple TV 4K second generation and the first generation!!

Q: Questionone is 32GB and one is 32GB-what do the GB do ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Assuming you mean that one is 32GB and the other is 64GB. This is a measurement of the amount of memory the AppleTV has. The memory is used largely for storing apps you may wish to install, including games. It is also used to store movies you rent and podcasts you subscribe to until you watch/listen to them and to buffer movies and TV shows you stream. Since you can fit hundreds of apps and games into 32GB, that will be enough memory for most people, but if you are replacing an AppleTV that has prompted you to manage memory by selecting apps to delete, you may want to opt for the larger amount.

Q: QuestionDoes this come ready to use or are any additional cables etc needed?

Q: QuestionWill the Apple TV 4K work with my Samsung HD 1080P TV like my older Apple TV HD unit. in other words, will the picture appear the same. Plan to get 4K TV later. If this is true, why does Apple even offer a new generation of Apple TV HD?
Asked by JJ.
- A:Answer Yes, in settings you can adjust the video picture to be set at numerous resolutions including but no limited to 1080p. There is also an option for all video to play in its native form too. Many older movies and live sports are 720p or 1080.

Q: QuestionI am interested in watching Youtube TV using this device by connecting non SMART TV through HDMI. Is there any yearly/monthly subscription to be paid for Apple TV at anytime for this? 2nd question. What is the purpose of first year free subscription?
Asked by Mazda.
- A:Answer You can watch free content as well as paid content on Apple TV. YouTube TV is a paid service. If you want that, you will have to pay for it, regardless of what platform you watch it on. The free subscription is for AppleTV+, Apple’s streaming service. The purpose of giving you a year free is to promote their service.
