Yup. Airplay is perfect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In general Airplay will not solve streaming issues - steaming has 2 factors - Internet speed and availability and processing - Processing is built in to the Apple TV - Airplay can help if the processor is having an issue putting more burden on the Computer or device connected via airplay - internet speed and availability is multi part issue - availability of the internet is not always your own internet speed from your provider, it also is affected by the number of connections attached to the source and the number of jumps your signal has to go through to get to the source - the other factor is your own internet provider and your own local connection. in general if you are connecting via wifi expect issues - when ever possible maintain a solid network connection through a gigabit switch (reputable company name (cisco etc) makes a difference on connection speed 90% of the time). Most of the issues with streaming are not something you can control - the things you can control are - getting a good solid network hardwired to have the fastest connections to your media player (Apple TV) and having a fast internet speed with a decent upload - this may include having a router that can handle the speed your are bringing in through your modem., sometime the modem and the router are the same box and generally that works fine you can get better results with the right router and having your modem in bridge mode allowing the best router to manage everything.
