Why does the charger cord not fit all the boxes? null

You need to purchase a USB-C charger block. I recommend an Apple brand one, because they are specifically made for the charger cord. I made the mistake of purchasing a different brand, and it did not work or fit correctly. My brother picked an Apple brand charging block up for me for under $20. Hope this helps.
