Does this model allow me to answer and make calls with (gps) or do I need to buy the watch with cellular service? I currently have an I phone and 24/7 wi-fi. Please advise null

GPS +cellular allows you to use just the Watch without an iPhone although you’ll need an iPhone for set up, even a friend’s. The GPS only version utilizes the iPhone’s Bluetooth connection for data.

If you get the GPS version, you need an iPhone to make calls using the watch. I know you you can use the GPS watch to answer voice and (I think) FaceTime calls to your phone (as long as the phone is in range). Based on this, I'm pretty sure you can initiate a phone call or FaceTime call through your watch, but it still has to go through your iPhone.

As long as it’s within the Bluetooth range you can answer phone calls/text messages on your watch from your phone. From my understanding, the cellular service for the watch is if you want to make calls/texts without the watch being connected to your phone.
