You have to buy the one with cellular in order to have cellular service.

Only through the GPS plus Cellular can you add cellular service. That’s why they made these two versions of the watch & that’s why the one with cellular service is more expensive.

No, you cannot. You would need the GPS + Cellular in order to add cellular capabilities. If you think that it’s something you might want, you should spend the extra money and get that version of the watch.

No, if you buy the GPS only apple watch there is no way to connect it to a carrier via cellular in the future. Only the GPS + cellular version of the Apple watch has the hardware to connect directly to a carrier without an iPhone.
