The watch is indeed water resistant up to 50 meters in depth. So, one theoretically should be able to wear it while swimming, showering (although I don't know why one would), hand washing, and other water-related activities. There is a feature that allows the speakers to emit a sound frequency that pushes water out of the speaker.
