Is it cheaper to buy open box and what does it mean? null

Yes it is cheaper! Open box simply means it was either returned or traded in from a Previous owner.

when I went into the store, the open box watch was only $10 cheaper. Basically means someone bought it and returned it. Not refurbished, just either didn't want it and brought it back.
