“What functions does the cellular version of the series 3 have that the GPS only version doesn't, other than working more than 50 feet away from your iPhone? Does the GPS only version still do everything the cellular version does as long as it's within 50'”

The difference is that you can leave your phone at home and just wear the watch(if you add the watch to your cellular plan) I have to carry a work phone ,so I just wear my watch which is my personal # and I’m covered and don’t have to carry 2 phones in my pocket. I’m an older guy who wears mechanical watches and was skeptical about getting the Apple Watch in general. I hate to say it but I am a huge fan of this product and would recommend to anyone. I find the talk to text to be the most convenient feature of all.
