• If your phone is near by you can without cellular service. You can also if your watch is connected to your WiFi.

• You can, as long as the watch is connected to a WiFi or close to your phone via Bluetooth. The same goes for answering calls, you can do it from the watch as long as it’s connected (if you don’t have the LTE version)
