Version 4 has the fall detection and alert.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure how to edit my prior answer but the Apple Watch and none of the watches for that matter can alert you "prior" to falling down. It has the ability to "detect" falls and then ask if you're okay or need emergency services called. It can notify the emergency services for you if you say you're hurt when the watch detects a fall and asks you if you're okay or not. You have to make sure it is configured correctly in the watch app for this feature to work as well.
