If it has cellular you can activate it later with Verizon. That’s what I had my mom do. I just got my Apple Watch less than a month ago, my bill with Verizon shows I have a free month for my Apple Watch but that it’ll be a $10 fee. So far it looks to me like it’s cheaper than adding another phone line.. but that part I could be wrong..
