Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You have to pay the additional $100 to purchase the Apple Watch with Cellular. It costs $499 plus tax. (Without cellular capability, it costs $399). I also advise spending $79 to buy Apple Care, Two days after I purchased my watch, I accidentally dropped it and cracked the screen. I took it to Apple and they replaced my watch. Apple Care allows for 2 breakage episodes and costs $69 to replace or repair. Without Apple Care the cost would have beeb $349.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you want to be able to use data and you're not near Wi-Fi, then you need both don't forget that it's gonna use your cellular plan's allowances. Also for the series3 + 4 it's now a standalone device which means they're not dependent on your phone being nearby which is a great option. You can ask Siri to make calls, send texts, etc.. If you have a cellular plan with unlimited data the 3 or 4 is what you want. If you're only gonna use it with Wi-Fi then buy one without cellular built in. I personally love the fact that I don't have to have my phone right there to see texts, make and answer calls. Especially the answer calls! I recommend the 3 or 4.....you'll wonder what you did without it once you start using it.
