• Yes usually that’s what it means. You can always make sure and ask if there was anything wrong with the phone/ why it was returned. Also ask to look at it before buying and the return policy on the item in case you find anything later. Sometimes they’re okay with that.

• Open box means that the item was purchased by someone else and then returned. The returned items are then inspected by the retailer for good functionality and made available to purchase again at a discounted price
