Yes! I have the same watch unlocked and have decided not to activate my cellular. It is your choice whether or nor to activate your cellular, which is a feature of the watch. It is not mandatory. The watch functions the same without using cellular. That means, if you wish to make a telephone call using your watch, you will need to be near your mobile phone. The watch works like a blue tooth enabled device with your mobile phone. The Cellular feature allows you to use your watch to make phone calls and text messages without having your mobile phone in range.
