• Make sure that you are not being charged by your carrier for an extra line for the watch. I believe it maybe so that the functionality can work without your phone being near. Your mobile carrier can answer you better.

• This Apple Watch model does not have cellular capability. This is a GPS only model.

• The extra line for the watch is in case you don’t like to carry your phone for example for a run, work out, hike.
