Watch has an always on option that dims, but is viewable. If you’re looking to save battery, always on can be turned off in which case screen will be off until you wake by lifting your arm. No need to touch screen to wake.

Please try again later.No, it has an always on display so it displays whatever watch face you choose at all times (except while you sleep if you put it in sleep mode, then the display will go off so it doesn’t bother your sleep). Photo 1- watch when dormant, photo 2- watch when I look at it (becomes a little brighter)
