What is the battery life? null

Honestly a full day of battery when you have all features and always on display. So you need to charge it daily. The good news that it has a very quick charge. I will advise to wait for the new series 9 if you are not in a hurry.

If you do nothing on the watch about 2 days. If you use it for workouts and sleep tracking you get between a day to day and half.
