I have a Geek Squad contract and had scheduled an appointment for them to set up my watch at the Best Buy store. If I recall correctly, I believe I was required to place one call to Verizon when I returned home about the connection due to privacy issues. Also you may like to search Michael Kors website for additional metal watch bands. A beautiful red one is on sale for less than $100. ENJOY your watch...love mine!
