Call customer service, have your purchase order number on hand and they will do as long it’s not already on the delivery truck.

Apparently not. When I asked, they said that the haulaways go to another company and they cannot say if the item is recycled. I was disappointed because, of course, I hope for recycling always. But it seems as if it is harder now than 10 years ago to get consistent recycling of nearly everything. 
Did you know that in CA, Rite Aid recycles bottles and cans with a 5-cent return fee? Since we consumers pay for those items to be recycled, hold them to it!!
