Hello dear customer, Hub M2's IR function with it's name indicated, IR function only work within a close range, if the device and Hub M2 are in different space, then it cannot work. If they are in the same space, you may open the Aqara app and add remote control, select the your device, and find the brand of the device. If you cannot find the device type, you may chose "Customize" and select a suitable remote controller template, or select "Do not use a template", and configure your own remote control buttons.
