• Yes, the spotlight can be turned off. Go to video settings and you can turn light off and adjust other settings there.

• I haven't seen any option to turn the spotlight off but I am also only using the free version and am not paying for the monthly subscription so maybe with that there might be a way, however it only comes on when it senses motion and it is not very bright.
