Depending on the Arlo SmartHub model that will come with your system, it will either come with an SD card slot or a USB port detailed here :https://kb.arlo.com/000062284/. Yes. I bought a 2TB external hard drive for mine. Plugged it in and Arlo did the rest. Such an easy setup.
