I live in Missouri. Our weather is not as cold as yours. But, in the short amount of time that I have owned the Arlo system. The only thing that seems to be that has affected the battery life. Is the amount of motion. I got this system because I live on a farm. And one of our hay trucks was stolen during the night. 2 of the 4 camera's I have. Are located in "traffic" areas. Areas where my husband and sons drive by a lot. And I do have to bring those cameras in a charge them frequently. Which is actually just plugging them into the computer to charge. Although for those areas I have bought the 30 ft electric plug in cord. We do not have it connected yet. (Waiting on my well meaning sons.) But, with the cord that I purchased off of Amazon. I will not have to worry about battery life. I had considered the solar charger. But, since most likely I will be the one to end up affixing the camera to the external charging system. I choose to be able to just plug into an exterior electrical outlet. After all, if I don't make my life easier who will?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm having to charge each camera every three days. I've tried limiting the zone of the motion detection and still i'm having to recharge every three days. I'm looking into running a power wire for each camera to eliminate having to charge them so often.
