I am backing up 5 cameras with a 1 TB drive and am getting almost a week of video before it overwrites. However, it depends on the number of events your camera captures and how long they record those events for. You can also set up a monitoring schedule that will affect the amount of video recording.

Please try again later.I used a 32gb thumb drive for two camera which were intentionally placed so they picked up the wind moving the trees so it was recording every 30 seconds or so. It did well for over 30 days. I just swapped it for a different 32gb drive and then copied off all the videos to my main (4tb array) storage. I just keep rotating every 30 days. I am testing the system out to see if I can use it in the tropics.
