A:AnswerYou will need internet access, a smartphone to run the app, and a wireless network for this product to be used to it's fullest. I don't think it uses much bandwidth so most of the ISP offers out there should work (ATT, Xfinity, etc.)
A:AnswerI have the wireless, so the batteries are chargeable at anytime. The camera will notify you by email when it’s getting low. Even then, they last a few days at less then 5%. It depends on how much activity your camera is taping, is part of the recharging process. I charge about 1 camera per week or every other week. You definitely want to set these up where you can reach them with some effort but not too difficult. I’ve had these just short of a year, and the batteries are still like new/very good. Charging is no problem.
A:AnswerYes the system will turn back on. I've had power outages over the course of my first year of use and the system comes back on with everything else once power is re-established.
A:Answerit came with 4 magnetic half rounds that you mount to a surface with a screw and one extended mount. Very easy to install and attach the camera then rotate to your desired direction. I am very pleased with the system and plan on getting 2 more cameras and batteries with a charger.
A:AnswerThe Arlo base station must be connected with an Ethernet cable. The only way I was able to use Verizon is to purchase the new Verizon M1000 jetpack, since it now comes with an Ethernet connection. FYI the jetpack Ethernet connection only works when it is plugged into a 110 outlet.
A:AnswerI live in Missouri. Our weather is not as cold as yours. But, in the short amount of time that I have owned the Arlo system. The only thing that seems to be that has affected the battery life. Is the amount of motion. I got this system because I live on a farm. And one of our hay trucks was stolen during the night. 2 of the 4 camera's I have. Are located in "traffic" areas. Areas where my husband and sons drive by a lot. And I do have to bring those cameras in a charge them frequently. Which is actually just plugging them into the computer to charge. Although for those areas I have bought the 30 ft electric plug in cord. We do not have it connected yet. (Waiting on my well meaning sons.) But, with the cord that I purchased off of Amazon. I will not have to worry about battery life. I had considered the solar charger. But, since most likely I will be the one to end up affixing the camera to the external charging system. I choose to be able to just plug into an exterior electrical outlet. After all, if I don't make my life easier who will?
A:AnswerThe base station will needs to be no more than 300 feet from the cameras. So it would depend how far away they are if you need two different set ups.
A:AnswerPower cords are definitely waterproof, no issues there.
I would think the gutter mount would work, hard to answer without seeing, but they are pretty basic units.
A:AnswerYes they use rechargeable battles they last up to 3 months on a charge but less if there is a lot of movement. the eufy cameras last much longer on single charge
A:AnswerEach of the systems will do 5 cameras free if they are PRO or HD. You can add cameras at any time for a fee. The plan change once you start using the PRO2 and higher cameras in how the plans work. See this link for more info https://www.arlo.com/en-us/landing/arlosmart . Arlo is really push for users to have to pay for service.
