Arlo Pro 2's have issues with any external power source. I have read aweful reviews about their solar panel charging. At that time I waas running my 4 camera system off their internal batteries. The problem is not [really] with the solar panels but with any extrenal power source even these Arlo Pro 2 OEM/Factory-recommended power supplies. The the supplies are attached the cameras will become every erratic and will go off line with the middle of recording an event. So you may see a person walking and then he/she just disappears as in some sci-fi movie. The system continues to record; however, and the file size actually increases to 1.5 times the normal size for a fixed 100 sec. max recording. Arlo's technical support is outsourced and depending on the time of day you call you may speak with a well-meaning person; however, they really do not understand English. Those techs that do speak English well, only provide the usual generic answers., like "Reboot hub", "check you internet provider" , replace out [extremely expensive] arlo batteries, re-sync, etc. When I found the issue - and explain what it is , they refused to log it and sais they would call me back with a solution, that never happened. Spent close to $1000 for 4 cameras and am very disappointed, they will not honor the warrentee, the units are only 3 weeks old. RUN AWAY FROM ARLO AND NETGEAR (their parent company).
