• Yes, you can have up to 5 cameras without a subscription. Or it is $9 A month for Arlo subscription to have 12 I believe it is. If you go to Arlo’s website you can look at the subscription packages to see exactly how many you can have.

• It depends on the base unit. My base unit will control five cameras, max. I have Arlo Pro cameras.
