QuestionThe description for the Arlo Pro 4 camera system states "indoor/ outdoor", but the specification states "indoor". Is this system only for indoor use or can it be used outdoors too?

- Answer I’m sure about the tv but you can’t view at the same time. Ours is labeled front and back on my phone and I just click it and it connects in 10sec or so and then I can watch it . I then X out and connect to the back and see. See photo

- Answer you can monitor on your phone pad or computer all you have to do is turn the canera on live but it will drain the battery quicker

QuestionOn the app I have set up the times I want the cameras to detect motion can I set them on different schedules? Like have the one outside detect all motion and one inside that only detects motion when I’m gone?

- Answer Our base unit is centrally located at our vacation house. The furthest camera is at the far corner bedroom, approximately 80 ft. Communication stays consistent, has not lost contact with unit even though the walls.

- Answer Yes. We have a 1950’s built cinder block FL home and runs well. This includes a concrete tile roof, plaster walls and cinder block outside.

- Answer Yes. I added one more later. I think you can add up to 5 cameras without requiring a subscription. Arlo keeps changing their plans so it's difficult to keep up with them.

- Answer Yes. I have my Arlo Pro 2 system, an eero mesh network, and am set up with Google Mini's and Chromecast. I can direct Google to display any of the cameras onto my big screen(s). Really nice when I'm in the easy chair.

QuestionMy Arlo Pro system plugs into my modem via an ethernet cable. I have recently purchased a Verizon Jetpack® 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi6620L. There is no way to connect an ethernet cable to the Hotspot. Can I make a wireless connection?

- Answer Check With Verizon, They are now marketing a unit that is called a "Smart Hub" it has a wi fi access point, hard wired either net port and a telephone port. I have use all three types of ports for security use and if you have a good data link to Verizon, it should work well. It includes a backup battery but the back up only backs up the phone. But a computer back up supply would work well.

QuestionDoes the system create its own WiFi so the cameras are WiFi it WiFi or each camera WiFi’s to base station. If a camera is stolen does the data stay on the cloud.

- Answer Yes, the video stays on the cloud for one week, so you have a week to download and copy it to a computer, or wherever. One of my cameras was recently stolen. The video was downloaded onto my computer and I transferred the file to the reporting police officer. He pulled photos of the burglar's face from the video, and the burglar was arrested the next day. Hard to beat that evidence. There was video of him showing his face, walking around my property. He was arrested the next day.

- Answer Don’t use the magnetic, it can be stolen very easily. Purchase the mount for the $20.00 extra dollars, it will save you form someone taking it down and walking away with it.

QuestionCan This System be made wired I plan on putting a couple cameras up higher and don't want to climb or open windows during the winter months to recharge battery's and that's another question how does the weather/rain/snow affect the screen /view

- Answer No sure none of the instructions have that option The battery is only good to -10 outside. We plan on bringing ours in for the winter months and mounting them inside We have had ours for 2 months and the batteries are still at 100%. They are small clips of movement maybe 30sec

- Answer Yes, absolutely! That's one of the great things about them! Mine sends me an email AND a text message to my phone whenever any camera is triggered by motion or sound. Then you can play the recording back on your phone at work or wherever. You can also watch a live feed from any of your cameras, on your phone.
