QuestionHave Essential XL to view driveway 50-80 feet away; video is blurry. Pro 4 has much wider angle than XL. I DON’T NEED GREATER WIDE ANGLE; JUST DISTANCE. Will Pro 4 w higher res improve far away video? thank you!!!!!!

- Answer Yes. 2k (1440p) my higher definition. The Arlo 4 also has smart AI to helps with distortion, and has 3 different FOV you can choose from albeit if you use the subscription service (free trial with purchase) then a few bucks per camera a month after that. Note that zooming in may be slightly clearer, it will still be pixilated. 60ft, max zoom you will not be able to clearly read license plate numbers.

- Answer No monthly fee or sign up necessary. Cameras work great, the monthly membership does add storage and extra features, but the cameras will work with the app without a subscription.

- Answer My Arlo Pro 4 came with a battery. I purchased an additional battery and charging station for a quick change. You must buy the correct battery, Arlo Pro 3 battery will not work.

- Answer I did not need a base station to install Pro 4 cameras and the wired video doorbell. If you go to Arlo's site you can compare cameras and see which ones you can do with just wifi.

- Answer I think so. It’s a HUB added to your existing system. It will record onto your own flash drive. You can delete from there.

- Answer You can however it would be pointless unless you get a hub for it store the footage. If you want to avoid the subscription you can always add it to your current hub and switch a camera that you may not necessarily need footage from but can view live whenever needed. You will get notifications by Arlo when all the cameras are activated.

- Answer It depends of size of hub the the Arlo pro 4 does not need to be on a hub it goes right into your wi fi from home and it goes to your Arlo app on your phone or tablet
