Sorry you need a plan to record. This is not a Best Buy problem, but Arlo. I have Arlo's and Arlo 2's and those I can record up to 7 days. When I installed these turned out I needed the plan. I would get notifications of motion but no recordings. Was kind of bummed out about it, but realized most others (Ring, etc.) need to have a plan to record and view.
